Habe ein Zweijahresabo, und nur das Heft 7/1 (Winter 1997) erhalten.
Nach diversen Mails habe ich erfahren, dass Freeman Miller nicht mehr der
Verleger ist. Von Academic Press, wie auch von Freeman Miller habe ich nie
ein Schreiben erhalten.
Nach diversen Nachfragen habe ich von AP nachfolgendes Mail erhalten:

Dear Pascal:
I am writing you today in my capacity as the new publisher for The
Mathematicar Journal. If you haven't yet heard, Academic Press
acquired TMJ from Miller Freeman a few months ago. Since then, we've
run into some challenges getting the existing subscriber database into
our own systems (these things happen); but now we've found you and I
want to give you an update regarding our progress with this
transitional period.
Since you haven't received an issue of the journal recently, you've
probably been wondering when you'd see the Spring, 1997 issue. Right
now it looks like Volume 7, issue 2 should be in your hands this
November. We hope to accelerate the publication of the remaining
issues in volume 7 and catch up with our normal publication schedule
early next calendar year.
Meanwhile, your subscription is in full effect. We will deliver to
you whatever issues you have paid for to date and, needless to say, we
encourage you to renew if your subscription is about to expire. Our
circulation department will contact you in the near future as your
renewal becomes necessary.
We are aware that international fulfillment of TMJ has been
inconsistent and we intend to correct this. Academic Press publishes
over 200 journals with global demand and, as such, we have well
established, global distribution channels. We feel confident that we
can get the journal to you, wherever you may be. If you have a
specific question about your subscription, please contact our

I'd like to take this opportunity to solicit your reactions to The

November ist vorbei, zumindest in Europa, habe weder ein Schreiben - Papier
wie
auch Mail - erhalten.
Passt aber irgendwie zum Ganzen. Besitze MMA 3.0.0 unter LINUX, d.h nix
Deutsch oder
Schweiz Tastatur, keine []{} - ja, ja über eine Pal, das will
ich aber nicht, habe ja schliesslich eine Tastatur; segmentation fault usw.
Habe das unter
diversen XFree Servern und dem Ax 2.0, 2.1 4.1 getestet.
Im Geschäft besitze ich MMA 3.0.0 für Windows, importierte Grafiken (BMP
usw) drucken
nix da, Seitenumbrüche zum Kotz....
Aha, es gibt ja MMA 3.1.0 für harte Dollars. $$$$$$$
Ich glaube wenn man für ca 5'000 Sfr Software kauft, sollte man erwarten
können, dass
man ein gratis Patch oder die neue Version zum
Selbstkostenpreis bekommt, ohne nochmals über 1000 Sfr zu bezahlen, damit
man endlich
vernünftig arbeiten kann.
