Copy/Paste in notebooks

Problem:

Always, if I use Copy (or Alt C) and then Paste (or Alt V) in the same
or another  Mathemathica notebook, applying it to a structured group of
cells (sections, titles,text,input..) the cell group is pasted as a
unique (merged) cell in Input Format. Hereby the cell labels are
included in the body of the cell. This very disturbing behavior of the
Frontend happens on all, also in newly created notebooks, in my home
directory.

This behavior began a day ago. Weeks after the installation all worked
well and normally. I may not exclude that by an uncontrolled mouse click
on a menu field I myself caused the problem.

 I tried to find a possibility to correct it by the help of the option
inspector, and looking in the Frontend init.m, but I did not succeed.

Nun weiss ich nicht, ob Sie die Kopie erhielten? Jedenfalls eruebrigt
sich meine Anfrage, weil ich selbst die einfache Loesung fand:

Solution:

Under Linux with the KDE Window-Manager I activated the clippboard
"Cut/Paste up to now"
in the task field. I inactivated it, and all was ok. It seems that
Mathematica and the KDE-clippboard do not cooperate well.

Es hat mich einige Stunden gekostet, bis ich auf den rettenden Einfall
kam. Wenn Sie es fuer richtig halten, koennen Sie den englischen Text
gern in Ihr Archiv aufnehmen; vielleicht geht es anderen Linuxern auch
einmal so wie mir!
