Hallo Gunter, Im Grunde tut es in diesem Fall ein Newton-Raphson-Algorithmus. Nur weiss ich nicht, in welcher der Mma-Funktionen er drin steckt ! Man kann http://reference.wolfram.com/mathematica/note/SomeNotesOnInternalImplementation.html ansehen, dort steht "FindRoot uses a damped Newton's method, the secant method and Brent's method." Der Name Raphson wird nicht erwähnt, allerdings ist der Newton-Raphson Algorithmus das, was man leichthin als Newton-Algorithmus zur Nullstellensuche bezeichnet, weil der volle Name Newton-Raphson-Simpson-Verfahren - schliesslich stammt die Formel x_{n + 1} = x_n - f(x_n)/f'(x_n) von Simpson - zu umständlich ist.
